Following our successful December performances, Veronica's Room was accepted in the MADF Easter Festival of Plays. Our performance was on Wednesday 23rd April 2014. Then come and take a walk on the dark side with Rushen Players latest production 'Veronica's Room'. It's a dark thriller touching on many taboos written by the acclaimed novelist and playwright, Ira Levin. He is best known for 'Rosemary's Baby' and 'The Stepford Wives', but unlike these masterpieces, 'Veronica's Room', has never been filmed. It really is a hidden little gem that will take you to the places that only the best psychological thrillers can. It begins innocently enough, with a chance meeting in a restaurant. An elderly couple ask a girl and her boyfriend back to their house, convinced she looks exactly like Veronica, a long dead relative of the family home. What follows is a story of twisted thinking, slowly developing into stark insanity. Leave under 16's at home for this unsettling tale. |
