The
Noble Spaniard by W Somerset Maugham was adapted from the French of
Grenet-Dancourt, It was first produced in London in March 1909. Our
Director, Stan Woollock, played Lord Proudfoot In Manchester many years
ago and a previous production in 1975 enjoyed great success. The action of the play takes place in a Villa at Boulobne in the year 1850. Lord Justice Proudfoot and his wife Matilda are taking a summer holiday in the villa,. Joining them are their friends Marion Naime, a young widdow and her younger sister Lucy. |
