Play Readings

Rushen Players are considering entering 3 plays into the
Manx Amateur Drama Federation's One Act Play Festival
which takes place at the Erin Arts Centre on March 3rd to 6th 2021

We have selected 2 plays so far and are scheduling a further 2 casting readings, please
come along if you would like to be considered for a part or help out back stage.
The meetings will be at Marashen Crescent, Port Erin at 7:30pm on:

Tuesday 24th November
Thursday 26th November

Fates Thread
by Stephen Bean

Susan is a successful executive married to her 'bit of rough' Jack, the
local garage mechanic. But now Jack is fed up of being the 'kept man'.
He'd like to break with Susan, but doesn't want to lose the
lifestyle ... or his mistress, Margaret.
Then, Susan has a fatal 'accident' in her newly repaired car.
Cast: 5 female, 1 male

Dirty Business

Cuts are on the way big time at the Local Council as it struggles to find ways
to meet Government spending targets. Josie and Angela are cleaning the
office of one of the Council's Department Heads one evening
when they come across a file which seems to show
that their jobs are on the line too.
