Set
in the mid-sixties, it ts early afternoon in a side ward of a small
provincial general hospital. Mr. Smith is languishing in his bed, where
he is recovering from the effects of a head injury. Not the easiest of
patients, he leads the medical staff a merry dance, taxing their
patience and ingenuity to the limits. The play was first performed by Rushen Players at the MADF One Act Play Festival and susequently at festivals in Grange over Sands, Port Sunlight and Woking. The cast won five awards for this presentation including best play of the Festival. |
